Tasks
Role Description:
To conduct analysis and testing of polymeric materials, additives and manufactured goods applying most effective technology to provide data/reports to R&D Leader and technical staff for product development and technical service needs of polyethylene and polypropylene businesses.
Technical Service
Provide technical customer service based on identified business needs in close cooperation with Technical Services Resource in order to ensure customer needs are met
Process Implementation
Process, prepare or assist in preparation of specific materials and specimens and analyze and test them to evaluate required properties
Follow relevant system for all analytical, testing, collection and sampling activities for ready access to vital statistics for R&D Leader’s evaluation
Follow company policies, requirements, processes, best practices and procedures relevant to R&D Dept for improved overall performance
Troubleshooting
Collect, validate, analyze, interpret and present data, using statistical tools if required, for better understanding of Specialists for investigating and resolving customer complaints/issues, for use in product development programs and for trouble shooting plant issues
Trouble shoot processing, analytical and testing systems and control and calibrate PCI, inspection, measuring and testing devices for accuracy of data
Reporting
Write clear, concise and timely technical reports in order to document significant results
Industry and Customer Awareness
Develop expertise and keep up-to-date on applicable analytical and testing technologies and methodologies for improved efficiency
Network with other technical people to share technology and leverage problem solving
Train peers/new recruits/customers in the use of analytical systems and EH&S and Quality system procedures
Customer Focus
Provide services that meet customers’ needs faster and better than competitors in order to ensure utmost customer satisfaction and services provision.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the Technical Services unit systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
EH&S Focus
Comply with all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Chemistry
