Tasks
To lead appropriate implementation of the EH&S management system within the assigned client organization (plants, labs, etc.) in order to ensure that business objectives are met
Regulatory Requirements
Determine the applicability of regulatory requirements to units as well as obtain clear interpretations for issues through consultation of the EH&S Expertise Centers, in order to support the continuous running of operations while maintaining relevant standards
EH&S Systems
Support site-wide EH&S systems as needed and ensure cost-effective delivery through standard work processes and common systems .
Ensure that the Management of Change for EH&S matters is implemented.
EH&S Incidents Investigation
Lead Participate in the investigation of EH&S incidents, identifying potential business risks as well as addressing incident and audit corrective actions in order to lead incident reduction efforts
Training
Provide functional coaching to people performing EH&S related roles as well as ensure that EH&S trainings are delivered to all relevant individuals as appropriate
EH&S Audit
Participate and provide data to EH&S audits as defined by the audit process in order to facilitate the smooth running of operations
Resource Management
Plan resources according to specific business needs as well as facilitate the process to leverage EH&S delivery resources (specialists, technicians, empowered teams) in order to ensure appropriate resource management .
Accountable for cost-effective delivery of EH&S systems through standard work processes and common systems.
Compliance
Ensure EH&S work processes, standards and procedures are applied within the units through role assignment and training
Coaching and Training
Develop & Approve training material for Personal safety standards,
Support in providing the EH&S Training standards to various personal
Subject Matter Expertise
Develop the know-how (processes, documentation training) in order to ensure the meeting of requirements Provide discipline specific interpretations and consultation as requested by departments or plants in order to facilitate informed decision making
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of EH&S unit systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
EH&S Focus
Comply with all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Industrial or Safety Engineering
Experience: 0 to 2 years
